About
PROLIMA (Environmental Product Lifecycle Management for building Machine Tools) is the name of the Research Project funded by the European Commission with the aims of:
- Developing a method to design machine tools integrating information on Life Cycle Cost (LCC), Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS).
- Providing SMEs manufacturing and/or using machine tools with practical solutions updated to their sector to improve in the short term the environmental impact and cost-effectiveness of their machine tools.
In this Project 23 companies of 5 different countries (Belgium, Finland, Germany, Netherlands and Spain) are going to work together for a period of 3 years.
